Varsity Basketball played public school East Rockingham High School on Tuesday, 19 Jan 2021. East Rockingham has several Division 1 basketball players including the 66th ranked junior in the nation.
The Caissons played tough for three quarters and ran out of gas down the stretch to fall 75-55.
The score is not a reflection on how well Fishburne played against a tough opponent.
Caissons junior Nathan Alexander provided two outstanding dunks closing the scoring gap and bringing Fishburne within 4 pts before East Rock hit back to back threes to stretch their lead and ultimately winning the game.
Senior Peja Brent showed great leadership, composure and controlled the tempo of the game. He led the Caissions in scoring ranking up 25 pts. 4 assist. Junior Nathan Alexander was second in scoring with 14 and led the team in rebounding with 12, a double/double. It was a total team effort even though we came up short, everyone left it all on the court.
